JahangirnagarUniversity (JU) established as a residential public university on August 20, 1970, but formally launched on January 12, 1971. It is the one and only fully residential university in Bangladesh. The sprawling picturesque campus is situated 30 kilometers from the capital Dhaka, well linked with a national highway known as Dhaka-Ashulia Road.
