American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) is a private research university located at Banani in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1994 by Anwarul Abedin under the Private University Act, 1992. The university is an independent organization with its own Board of Trustees. It offers several degree programs at graduate and undergraduate level from its four faculties. As of 2012, The university has over 10,725 students with over 277 full-time faculty members and 8,608 Alumni.
