Bangladesh National University is the 5th largest university in the world according to enrollment. It was established in 1992 under the act of Parliament of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
All graduate and post-graduate level college were affiliated to the national university according to the act. Now more than 1600 college and institution affiliated to the university. About one million students are studying in different college under this university. The main campus of the university is situated in Gazipur, Dhaka. Degree pass, under graduate, post-graduate, M-Phil and PhD degree is awarded on various subjects from the National University.
